The Cake Pull, I must admit I had never really heard of this tradition until I picked up the latest copy of Southern Wedding, but I just love this idea.
The Cake Pull dates back to Victorian England. Silver charms with a string attached were baked into a cake. Each charm would represent a fortune and female guest would pull the charm from the cake. (This is also a great alternative to the bouquet toss)
This is also great thing to do at a bridesmaid luncheon. How about picking a charm that is specific to a memory that you and one of your bridesmaid’s has. For the maid who you stayed up all night with to watch the Royal Wedding: Why not get her the Royal Carriage Charm by Pandora. Or for the maid who is your go to coffee buddy: How about the Vintage Cup of Joe from Vintage Pearl.
I also love the idea of each persons charm being placed into their own individual cake.
